Photo and Signature Resize for SSC, NEET, UPSC and PAN Forms (KB)

Form rejecting your photo or signature? Resize both to the KB limit on your phone with ResizePing: type the size from your form, check the projected size and save.

Published October 26, 2026 · Last updated October 28, 2026

For photo and signature resize on an SSC, NEET, UPSC or PAN form, open each picture in ResizePing, set Mode to Target size, type the KB limit from your form and run it. Do the photo and the signature separately, because each has its own limit. The app shows a projected size first and says so when a size can't be reached.

Photo or signature rejected by the form? ResizePing resizes pictures to a size in KB on your phone. Get it on Google Play or the App Store.

Photo and signature limits by exam

Limits change per notice, check yours. Each guide has the full limits and its source.

Tip: type your form's KB into Target size in ResizePing and the file is sized for you.

As listed in recent notices. Formats are JPG or JPEG unless your form says otherwise.

Steps

  1. Read the photo and signature limits in your form or its notification. Sizes differ by exam and year, so take the numbers from there. Note the format (JPG, PNG or WEBP) and any pixel size. Not sure how big your file is? See how to check a photo's size in KB.
  2. Open ResizePing and pick your photo.
  3. Set Mode to Target size.
  4. In Target (KB), type the limit. If the form gives a range, type a number inside it, slightly below the upper limit.
  5. Pick the format the form asks for. Leave Strip metadata on.
  6. Read the Projected size, then tap Run and check the saved size before you upload.
  7. Repeat for the signature with its own limit. Crop the white margins off a signature photo first.

If the form also asks for pixels

Some forms give a size in pixels as well as KB. Set Mode to Dimensions and enter the width and height, run it, then open the result and use Target size for the KB limit.

If the size can't be reached

When ResizePing can't reach the target it says "Can't get this under N KB. Try a larger size or lower resolution." Make the picture smaller with Dimensions or Percent, run it, then open the smaller result and set Target size again.

Guides by size

What to know

  • ResizePing works on photos. It has no signature or ID mode, and it does not change backgrounds.
  • Never uploaded to our servers.
  • The projected size is an estimate. The saved file can land a little above the number you type, so if the form has a hard limit, type a slightly lower target and check the saved size.

FAQ

  • How do I resize a photo for the SSC form? Open it in ResizePing, set Target size, type the KB limit from the SSC notification, check the projected size and run it.
  • How do I resize a NEET photo and signature? Do each one separately: Target size, the KB limit for that file from the NEET notice, then Run.
  • How do I reduce a signature to 20 KB? Crop the margins, set Target size to 20 KB and run it. See the 20 KB signature guide.
  • Which size does my exam need? The form or its notification states it, and it can change by year. Use those numbers.
  • Does it upload my photo? No. Never uploaded to our servers.
