Turn any video into a GIF right on your phone
Pick a clip, trim the exact moment, and choose a quality. GifPing builds the animated GIF on your device — no account, no watermark, and the video never leaves your phone.
Features
From a video to a shareable GIF
GifPing does one job well: turn a clip you already have into a small, shareable GIF, entirely on your phone.
Trim the exact moment
Drag the handles to set where the GIF starts and ends, and preview the clip before you generate.
Three quality tiers
Choose Small, Balanced, or Sharper, with a live size estimate before you commit.
Runs on your device
Conversion happens locally on your phone. GifPing never uploads videos or GIFs to our servers; copies only via Android auto backup, gallery/Photos cloud sync you enable, or sharing.
Share or save
Share the finished GIF to any app, or save it to your gallery — Pictures/GifPing on Android, Photos on iPhone and iPad.
Recent GIFs in History
Finished GIFs stay in the app's History so you can reopen, share, or delete them later.
No watermark
The GIF is yours to share as-is. GifPing adds no logo or watermark to the output.
Privacy
Your video stays on your phone
There is no account and no server that handles your media. Here is exactly what does and does not leave your device.
On-device conversion
GifPing builds the GIF on your phone. GifPing never uploads videos or GIFs to our servers; copies only via Android auto backup, gallery/Photos cloud sync you enable, or sharing.
No account
There is no GifPing account, sign-in, or profile. The app works the moment you install it.
Add-only photo access
On iPhone, GifPing asks for add-only Photos access only when you save a GIF — it can add the GIF but cannot read your photo library. On Android, videos are chosen with the system picker and GIFs save to Pictures/GifPing; no broad storage permission is requested — only a legacy write permission capped at Android 9 and below (maxSdkVersion 28) to save on pre-Android-10 devices.
Ads and diagnostics are content-free
Firebase crash reports and anonymous usage analytics are always on in release builds, and a banner ad shows for free users — subscribers never see it. All three carry no video or GIF content.
