UGC NET Photo and Signature Size in KB: Resize on Android or iPhone

The NTA UGC NET Information Bulletin (June 2025) lists a UGC NET photo of 10 to 200 KB and a signature of 4 to 30 KB, as JPG or JPEG. To size your files, open ResizePing and set Mode to Target size for the KB. The bulletin gives no pixel size for either file.

The photograph is a recent passport-size picture, in colour or black and white, on a white background, showing about 80% of the face including the ears. No mask. The signature is a full signature in running handwriting on white paper with blue or black ink. Your name in capital letters is not accepted as a signature. Scanned images must be in JPG or JPEG format only.
What ResizePing does and does not do

Steps
- Read the limits in the current NTA UGC NET Information Bulletin.
- Open ResizePing and pick the picture.
- Set Mode to Target size and type a number inside the range in Target (KB). Run it.
- Choose JPG as the output. Location data is stripped by default.
- Read the Projected size before the run, then check the final file's size against the official range.
- Repeat for the other file with its own range.
If a size can't be reached, ResizePing warns you. Make the picture smaller with Dimensions or Percent, run it, then set Target size again.
