For a signature size of 20 KB on an online form, photograph or scan your signature, open the picture in ResizePing on Android, and set Mode to Target size with 20 in the Target (KB) field. The app projects the result and saves the file directly on your phone.
Need to resize a photo for a form? ResizePing helps you hit your kilobyte target on Android. Get it on Google Play.
Many exam, visa and job portals require applicants to upload a signature with a strict cap, often asking for a signature size 20 KB or a range between signature 10 to 20 KB. Phone cameras capture photos of several megabytes, causing portals to reject the file. ResizePing lets you set a 20 KB target on Android and shows the projected size before you save.
Steps
- Sign your name on white paper, shoot a photo from above, and crop away blank margins.
- Open ResizePing and pick your cropped signature photo.
- Set Mode to Target size.
- In Target (KB), type 20. If your form specifies signature 10 to 20 KB, type 19 to leave a little room, as explained below.
- Choose the format the form requires, such as JPG, PNG or WEBP. Leave Strip metadata on.
- Check the Projected size before you run.
- Tap Run, then confirm the result size before uploading.
If 20 KB is too small for the photo
Very small targets on big photos may not be reachable. When that happens, ResizePing displays: "Can't get this under 20 KB. Try a larger size or lower resolution."
Lower the resolution first, then try the target again:
- In ResizePing, switch Mode to Dimensions or Percent and scale down the image.
- Tap Run to save the smaller file.
- Open the smaller result, switch Mode to Target size, type 20 in Target (KB), and tap Run.
Cropping blank paper borders and lowering resolution first gives the tool less to compress when you aim for 20 KB.
What to know
- ResizePing works on photos. It has no signature, ID or face mode, and does not alter backgrounds.
- Never uploaded to our servers.
- The projected size is an estimate; read the real size on the result screen before uploading.
- The quality slider spans 1 to 100, with output in JPG, PNG or WEBP. Location data is stripped by default.
- Process a single image or run batch files together.
- Built-in presets include 100 KB, 1 MB, 1080 px, and passport 35x45 mm.
- The saved file can land a little above the number you type, by roughly 0.5 to 2% in our tests. If the form has a hard 20 KB limit, type a slightly lower target, such as 19, and check the saved size.
- History keeps your past runs.
- Free with one small banner ad.
FAQ
How do I compress a signature photo to 20 KB on Android?
Open ResizePing, select your signature image, set Mode to Target size, enter 20 in Target (KB), check the projected size, and tap Run.
Does ResizePing have a dedicated signature mode?
No. ResizePing works on photos. It has no signature mode. Crop your signature photo in your gallery first, then use Target size mode.
What if the form asks for a signature between 10 KB and 20 KB?
Type 19 in Target (KB): the saved file can land slightly above the number you type, so a slightly lower target leaves room for a 20 KB cap. Check the saved size, and if it is still over 20 KB, try a lower resolution.
Will my signature remain readable after compression?
Check the before/after result screen before you upload. Cropping away empty margins first means fewer pixels to compress.
