A WhatsApp Business status, like any status, disappears after 24 hours. StatusPing is an Android app that saves statuses from WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business, photos and videos, before the 24 hours run out. You give it read access to one folder, and it copies the statuses you keep into your own gallery folder. Not affiliated with WhatsApp.

Steps

  1. Install StatusPing on your Android phone. No account or sign-in.
  2. Let StatusPing read the folder where WhatsApp keeps statuses. It reads that folder only.
  3. Open a status from the list. The title shows where it came from and the hours it has left, such as "WhatsApp Business · 23 h left".
  4. Tap Save in the bottom bar (Save, Share, Repost). The status is copied into your gallery folder. You can save one status or many.
  5. Open your saved library later to filter, view full screen, or share. Saved statuses do not expire.

Business statuses and the 24-hour clock

Each status shows a countdown of the hours left, so you can see what is about to disappear. Auto-save can copy new statuses for you, and how fast it does depends on your phone's background limits, so capture is not guaranteed. For a status that matters, save it by hand while time remains.

What the app needs

  • Read access to one folder only. It cannot change or delete anything in it.
  • A small notification shows while the app watches in the background.
  • No account, no sign-in, no cloud.

Ask before you reuse

A saved status is your own copy. If it belongs to a business or another person, ask permission before you share it again.
