Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of the StatusPing Android app. Installing or using the app means you accept them.
What StatusPing does
StatusPing lists the status photos and videos that are already stored in a folder on your phone, shows how long each one has left before the messaging app removes it, and copies the ones you choose into your own gallery folder. If you enable it, it also keeps a local record of notifications from apps you select so that a deleted message can still be read. The app is provided as it is, without any warranty.
No affiliation with WhatsApp or Meta
StatusPing is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by WhatsApp Inc., Meta Platforms, or any other messaging provider. It does not connect to their services, log in to any account, or read any chat. It reads a folder those apps have already written on your own device.
Content that is not yours
A status you save was posted by someone else, and an archived message was written by someone else. You are responsible for what you do with it. Saving something for your own reference is not the same as republishing it. Do not repost, share, or distribute another person’s status or message without their permission, and do not use StatusPing in any way that breaks the law where you live or the rules of the messaging app the content came from. StatusPing gives you no rights in anyone else’s content.
Removing ads — a one-time purchase
StatusPing is free and every feature works on the free version: there is no locked feature, no cap on how much you can save, and no subscription. The free version shows one banner at the top of the screen. Remove ads is a single one-time purchase that removes that banner permanently. It is sold and billed by Google Play, tied to the Google account that bought it, and restorable on a new phone with Restore purchase in Settings. Refunds are handled by Google Play under its own policy, not by us.
What the app cannot promise
Android may stop background work at any time to save battery, and phones from different manufacturers do so differently. StatusPing reports honestly when its watcher has been stopped, but it cannot guarantee that every status will be seen before it expires or that every deleted message will have been captured. Recovery works only forward from the moment you enable it, only for what a notification carried, and only when the notification was actually delivered.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, PingApps Lab is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of StatusPing, including lost media, lost messages, or content missed because the system stopped a background task. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
