What ChatPing is

ChatPing is a bring-your-own-key (BYOK) AI chat app. You connect your own AI provider API key, pick a cloud model, and chat — with your conversation history saved locally on your device. ChatPing has no servers of its own and no account system. It is available for Android on Google Play and for iPhone and iPad on the App Store.

Your key and your AI provider

ChatPing does not provide the AI models. When you send a message, it is transmitted to the third-party AI provider whose API key you configured, and handled under that provider's own terms and privacy policy. You are responsible for obtaining a valid key, for complying with your provider's terms, and for any charges the provider bills you. ChatPing never adds a markup — you pay your provider directly for what you use.

Your responsibility as the user

AI models can produce inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading output. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any response before relying on it, and for the content you send and any use you make of the replies. ChatPing is a tool for interacting with AI models; it does not endorse, verify, or take responsibility for what those models generate.

Provided as is — no warranties

ChatPing is provided as is. PlannedPing does not guarantee that any AI model will be available at a given time, that responses will be accurate or fit for any particular purpose, that your provider's service will be uninterrupted, or that third-party compatibility will be continuous. Use ChatPing at your own discretion. No warranty of fitness for any particular purpose is made.

Your legal obligations

You must comply with all applicable laws and regulations and with the terms of the AI provider you connect to. ChatPing must not be used to generate unlawful content, to harass or harm others, or for any purpose prohibited by your provider or by law. If you use ChatPing in violation of these terms or applicable law, your right to use the app terminates immediately.

ChatPing Pro, purchases, and availability

ChatPing is free to use with a banner ad. ChatPing Pro is an optional subscription — monthly or yearly — that removes ads, allows larger attachments, and keeps your full conversation history with no time limit. Subscriptions are distributed and billed through Google Play on Android and through the App Store on iPhone and iPad. Availability, pricing, renewals, refunds, and regional access are determined by whichever store you subscribe through and governed by its policies. PlannedPing does not process payments directly.

The Android and iOS apps are sold separately and priced independently on each store. A ChatPing Pro subscription is separate from, and does not cover, any charges billed by your AI provider.

No affiliation with model providers

ChatPing is an independent application. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to OpenAI/ChatGPT, Google/Gemini, Anthropic/Claude, OpenRouter, or any other model or AI provider. You bring your own key and connect directly to the provider you choose. All product and company names are trademarks of their respective owners.

Changes to these terms

PlannedPing may update these terms from time to time. When changes are made, this page will be updated. We encourage you to review these terms periodically. Continued use of ChatPing after updated terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
