Reporting a bug?
To help us investigate quickly, please include the following in your email:
- Device model — e.g. Samsung Galaxy S23 or iPhone 15
- OS version — Android: Settings → About phone. iPhone/iPad: Settings → General → About
- ChatPing version — shown in ChatPing’s own Settings screen
- Which model or preset — e.g. Balanced, Most capable, or the specific model you had selected
- Description of the behavior — what you did, what you expected, and what actually happened
Privacy reminder
Please do not paste your API key, prompts, or any private conversation content into your support email unless it is strictly necessary to describe the issue and you have redacted anything sensitive first. We never need your API key to help you.

- Do I need my own API key?
- Yes. ChatPing is a bring-your-own-key app — you connect your own AI provider key once, and nothing runs until you do. You pay your provider directly for what you use, with no markup from ChatPing.
- Where is my API key stored?
- In your device’s secure storage (Android Keystore-backed), and it is excluded from cloud backups. ChatPing has no servers, so your key is never uploaded to us.
- Where are my conversations stored?
- Only on your device. Free-tier history is kept for 90 days; ChatPing Pro keeps your full history with no time limit. Uninstalling the app removes all local data.
- What does ChatPing Pro include?
- ChatPing Pro is an optional monthly or yearly subscription that removes ads, allows larger attachments, and keeps your full conversation history with no time limit. Subscriptions, renewals, and refunds are handled by whichever store you bought from.
- Is ChatPing available on iPhone or desktop?
- ChatPing is available for Android on Google Play and for iPhone and iPad on the App Store. It is built for phones and tablets — there is no web version.
- Is ChatPing affiliated with OpenAI, Google, or Anthropic?
- No. ChatPing is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to OpenAI/ChatGPT, Google/Gemini, Anthropic/Claude, OpenRouter, or any other model provider. You connect directly to the provider you choose.
